Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

We collect as little as possible. This policy explains in plain language what Recallish collects, why, and how you stay in control.

What we collect

Account information: the username and password you choose at sign-up (passwords are stored as one-way hashes).

Learning data: the decks, cards, and review progress you create.

Third-party login identifiers: if you sign in with Google / Microsoft, we store only the identifier they return.

Technical logs: routine server access logs for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

We do not run ads, use third-party trackers, sell or share your personal data, or build user profiles.

Local storage (browser)

Your browser stores a login token and your language preference. You can clear these at any time.

Retention & backups

Data lives on the Recallish server and is backed up regularly. Accounts that stay inactive for a very long time with no meaningful data may be cleaned up.

Your rights

Export: download a full JSON backup anytime from Settings → Data Management inside the app.

Deletion: delete any deck or card yourself; to delete your account, contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
