Recallish ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Profile content: display name and profile photo or avatar, if you choose to upload one.
• User-generated content: flashcard decks, cards, and any shared decks you create or import.
• Identifiers: a unique user ID used to sync your data across devices.
• Usage data: study interactions such as card ratings and review timestamps, used solely to power the SM-2 spaced-repetition algorithm and track your learning progress.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect only to operate and improve the App:

• To provide, maintain, and secure your account.
• To sync your flashcards and study progress across devices.
• To display your profile and share decks in the community, if you choose to do so.
• To enforce community guidelines through reporting and blocking features.

3. No advertising or tracking

We do not display third-party advertisements in the App. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use device identifiers for cross-app tracking.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers protected by industry-standard security measures. Passwords are hashed with a per-user salt using scrypt. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission.

5. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App. Deleting your account will remove your profile and user-generated content from our servers.

6. Children's privacy

Recallish is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
